About these terms
Swap SMP is run by the server operator. If you have a question about these terms, email the contact email.
These terms sit alongside the server rules, which we share with accepted creators. If the two disagree, the server rules apply to what happens in game.
Minecraft
Swap SMP is not an official Minecraft product. It is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.
You need your own legitimate copy of Minecraft: Java Edition. The Minecraft End User License Agreement and Mojang’s usage guidelines apply on the server as well as these terms.
Applying
- You must be 13 or older to apply.
- Give accurate information. We may turn down or remove anyone whose application was misleading.
- Applying does not guarantee a place. We choose creators at our discretion and do not have to explain a decision.
- Keep the server address private once you have it. Sharing it may lose you your place.
Playing on the server
- Follow the server rules and treat other players with respect.
- No cheating, hacked clients, exploits or attempts to get around the swap system, the shared stash or other server features.
- We may warn, suspend or remove anyone who breaks the rules or makes the server worse for others.
- Some features are designed to destroy progress. Deaths in the main world destroy your items and the shared stash, and the Great Reset moves the main world. Losing progress this way is part of the game and is not something we compensate.
Your content and other creators
You keep the rights to the videos, streams and posts you make.
The server exists to be filmed. By playing, you agree that other creators may record and publish gameplay that shows your username, skin, chat messages and in-game actions. If something specific worries you, talk to us before it is published and we will try to help.
Do not use other players’ gameplay in a way that harasses them or misrepresents what happened.
Using this website
- Do not try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to this site or the server.
- Do not use the application form to send spam or anything unlawful.
- If you find a security problem, please report it as described on our security page.
Changes and availability
We may change, pause or close the server, its features or these terms at any time. If we make a significant change to these terms we will update the date at the top and let members know.
We run the server as a community project and do not promise it will always be available or free of bugs.
Liability
The website and server are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for lost in-game progress, items or time.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
